Handicrafts & Home Production

This program trains women to produce a diverse range of sellable handmade products — from candles and accessories to gift sets and home décor — enabling them to diversify their income and build a small home-based enterprise. The emphasis is on speed-to-market: participants sell their first products before the program ends.

The program runs as a production studio rather than a classroom: trainees arrive, choose a product to work on that session, and leave with finished pieces. By rotating across product types — candles one day, resin work the next, gift packaging toward the end — each participant discovers which products she makes fastest and which sell best for her target buyers, information that shapes her home business model from the start.

The final two sessions shift from making to planning: each trainee presents a simple product lineup — three to five items she can produce consistently — and works through a basic cost-and-price calculation with instructor feedback. Participants who want to formalise their home production into a small business can continue directly into the entrepreneurship track, which covers customer acquisition, order management, and moving from individual sales to small wholesale accounts.
